Anaheim Welcomes Return Of Angels Baseball Season

Press Release: 7 April 2025

This weekend marked the return of Angels Baseball to the ‘Big A’ for the 2025 season with a home opener against the Cleveland Giants, hitting off with a series win ahead of the next home game series against the San Francisco Giants 18-20 April.

Sport and event tourism continues to be a key travel trend this year, with SkyScanner citing that 40% of 25-to-34-year-old (and 29% of all American) travellers plan to travel either domestically or internationally to see a sporting event in 2025.

The baseball season will conclude with a home game on 28 September against the Houston Astros, so there’s plenty of time for sports fans to secure a ticket and cheer on the Angels. Visit Anaheim has compiled the best tips and advice for international visitors wanting to catch a game that’ll ‘knock it out of the park’.

Pre Game Fuel and Offers in Anaheim
Located across the street from Angel Stadium is California brewery institution, Golden Road, where good vibes and great beer are always on tap. Grab a seat outside and a Melon Cart wheat ale (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available) to soak up the sunshine pre-game.

Lopez and Lefty’s offer all Angels Baseball fans 10% off their entire bill pre- or post-game with a valid ticket to the baseball (on home game days only). Try the signature ‘Halo Burger’, created to pay homage to the Angels.

Events at Angel Stadium
Anaheim is renowned for its weekend fireworks and Angels games are no different. Each Saturday game ticket includes Saturday Night Fireworks, delivering a bang for your buck.

Home games against San Francisco Giants on 18-19 April are part of Star Wars Weekend, with an 800-strong Star Wars themed Drone Show on the Friday. Other themes throughout the season include Throwback Week, Christmas in June (including a Drone Show), Beach Weekend and Throwback Week.

Make the game part of a family trip to Anaheim with Family Sunday and Kids Run the Bases events taking place at each Sunday afternoon game, with the first Sunday of the season on 25 May, when the Angels playing against Miami Marlins.

Most games, including all dates without additional events, have an Angels merchandise giveaway for the first 25,000 fans in the stadium.

Gameday Grub
For the ultimate American sport event experience, save some space for eating your way through all nine innings with the best of the ‘Big A’s’ food offerings. Rise to the challenge of conquering ‘Helmet Nachos’, served in a souvenir Angels Baseball Helmet; refuel with a hearty Brisket Mac ‘n’ Cheese from Portable 237 and treat the family to a $27 Bucket O’ Cookies from Cathy’s Cookies. Classic American match snacks such as s’mores, hot dogs, pretzels and buttermilk chicken burgers are also available.

Sport fans visiting Anaheim outside of home games or off-season can take a tour of the stadium on selected Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. For more information, visit the Ballpark Tours page.

Stadium-side Accommodation
To place yourself steps away from your hotel once the game finishes, opt for a conveniently located accommodation option close to the stadium. Embassy Suites by Hilton Anaheim Orange is a short walk with complimentary breakfast included and Ayres Hotel Anaheim sits between the Angel Stadium and Honda Center for optimum sport and event proximity, both hotels featuring a swimming pool.
